very reseller claims "UK servers." Most are lying. Some have servers in the UK. Many have servers in the Netherlands, Germany, or France and call them "UK."
A truthful British iptv reseller will prove their server locations. They'll give you an IP address to test. They'll show you a traceroute.
The British iptv service I use publishes their server IP ranges. I can test any time. I have. They're in London and Manchester.
A lying IPTV reseller UK will say "UK servers" and refuse to provide proof. Or they'll give you an IP that traces to the Netherlands.
Here's how to verify server locations yourself:
Ask for a test server IP. "Can you give me an IP address of one of your UK servers?"
Run a traceroute. On Windows: tracert IPaddress. On Mac: traceroute IPaddress. On phone: use a traceroute app.
Look at the hops. The last hop (or near last) is the server's location. Look at the domain names or IP locations.
Use an IP location tool. iplocation.net or whatismyipaddress.com. Paste the IP. See where it says the server is.
Test latency. Ping the IP. UK to UK should be under 20ms. UK to Netherlands is 20-30ms. UK to Germany is 30-40ms. UK to US is 80-120ms.
I tested a "UK server" from a reseller. Traceroute showed hops through Amsterdam. Final server in Germany. Latency: 45ms. Not UK.
My current reseller: traceroute shows London after 8 hops. Latency: 9ms. Definitely UK.
Why does this matter? UK servers = lower latency = faster channel switching = less buffering. Also, UK servers are less likely to be throttled by your ISP.
If your reseller refuses to provide a test IP, that's suspicious. Not definitive (some have security concerns). But suspicious.
If your reseller gives you an IP that traces outside the UK, ask why. "Your server shows as Netherlands. Is that correct?" A good reseller will explain. "We have UK servers but that test IP is a backup in Netherlands." A bad reseller will lie or get defensive.
Don't accept "trust me." Verify. The tools are free. The test takes 2 minutes.
Server location is not the only factor. A good server in Germany beats a bad server in London. But all else being equal, UK servers are better for UK viewers.
Verify before you trust. Your viewing experience depends on it.
